abortion

This is a topic that I find very interesting. I am pro-choice and let me give you my reasons why

1) people make mistakes. They get put in situations and they do not always respond the right  was. One mistake and it ruins your life. I don't think that should ever be the case. I feel like there should be an option for those who make mistakes.

2) rape happens and sometimes it results in a baby. I do not feel like the woman who was raped should have to endure and carry to tern a baby conceived from rape.

3) a woman has the right to choose what grows in her body. the man may voice his opinion but it is the girls decision. she is the one who has her body and life changed, forever, no matter what she does.

I am not pro a woman can have unlimited abortions . I think the limit should be set at one. then they should be out of that situation. for all those "pro life" people out there I propose a compromise. You don't want abortions than support birth control and family planing! You can not complain about abortion when you provide no real alternative  Adoption is not a real alternative either! Many children in adoption are neglected, abused, and fall between the cracks. there life is hell.

Also to those who want to shut down planed parenthood you will only make abortions worse. Whats wrong with providing a back up for girls who made mistakes, who were drugged, or who were out right raped. you can  not have it both ways.

and stop using "its against my religion" as an excuse. the is America. the constitution separates Church and state. Every one should have a right to a back up. no one is forcing  you to have it....but it should be available.

religion

"I like your Christ. I don't like your Christians, they are nothing like your Christ" -Gandhi

It is sad to say it but religion is no longer what it was made to be. now it is an excuse for hate. fanatics use religion as a reason to discriminate. it is a reason why equality can not be reached. it results in more hate crimes than any other cause. i am enraged  I am a wiccan and i can not tell you how many times people think  i am evil,

religion has been the cause of wars, mass murders, and genocide  people have used it as a justification for slavery, racism, sexism, homophobia and social darwinisum. Jesus and Mohammad never ment for there philosophy to be the reason why millions died. they both respected woman and though every one should love one another. Jews, Muslims, and christens all worship the same god, yet they hate each other.
religion is no longer a way to live life but a way those in power keep those with out from wanting it. it distracts them with hate and discrimination.
religion is commercialized  your supposed to give god 15% of your income. GOD ID A DEITY  HE HAS NO USE FOR MONEY! it is supposed to be unquestioned! how can a nation grow when they are tought knowledge is the enemy of faith! religion. in days of slavery religion was used to keep slaves in check and now it is used to keep low income people in there position.
no matter what your religion i propose a revolution. look into your religion. question it. bring it back to what it was meant to be. do not let society turn it into hate and commercialism!

bill Mahar

ill have my first post be a letter i wrought to one of my inspirations and reasons i am in politics. I did this because I am watching his show right now.

Bill Maher,

My name is Kristyl Parker and let me start off by saying what a big fan of yours i am! you are my Favorite comedian of all time. I watch your show as mush as i can and love every episode. I love that you give the facts and don't just poke fun. You can present the facts and anyone with half a mind can see that you are right. Someone once told me that if you use any part of your brain you are Democratic.

I feel that those who wish to stop things like same sex weddings and birth control for girls are foolish and immature. Though in the state i live in i might get shot for saying that. I am a 17 year old girl who lives in Houston, Texas. i my self am on birth control, though my grandma must pay out of pocket for this. I am not a bad kid either, i have 5 AP classes, am captain of the debate team, in AVID, a collage prep class, and seriously plan to run for president one day.  i attend Sharpstown High School, witch is a "gheto" school, part of the Apollo program for the worst schools in HISD. my school has a day care in it. teen pregnancy is running rampant. Most girls in my school cant get birth control because there family's cant afford it. these are not bad girls. one girl i know just graduated and had a baby, she is in all AP classes and in AVID, we have dreams, but we are teens. Texas wont even teach sex education really. its all abstinence only.
I'm writhing this because maybe if you talk about it something can be done. the fact is abstinence just wont work with teenagers, why is it so wrong to prevent them from messing up there life with one stupid action?
thank you

sincerely

Kristyl Parker
